A big responsibility
Teach your child ISC
Being the parent of a child with bladder emptying problems is a big responsibility. Aside from all the regular tasks of parenting, you also need to teach your child how to empty his/her bladder, most likely using CIC. You are also the person who has to make sure that your child is catheterized regularly, even when he/she is at daycare, at school, or with friends and relatives.

Teach your child self-catheterization
Teaching a child to pee using a catheter takes time. You must let it take time. Encourage your child to participate in the bladder emptying as soon as possible. Be calm and methodical and do it on your child's terms.
