Not being able to empty your bladder in a normal way is a problem. That is why we need to find the best possible solution.
For many people, LoFric provides assurance. It has made life easier.
LoFric's greatest advantage, compared to other catheters, is that it softly and easily slides in and out of the urethra without damaging it. This is because LoFric's surface can bind water. By soaking the catheter in water before using it, water is collected on the surface.
The surface layer is so unique that it is protected by a patent, Urotonic Surface Technology.

A longed-for product
LoFric catheters
Catheters have been around for many, many years. They are an old method for emptying the bladder. But catheters used to be coarse and hard. They damaged the urethra.

In the middle of the 20th century, a new type of catheter was born. These were called indwelling catheters, as they remained in the urethra even between bladder emptyings. However, this was not a good solution. Many people who used indwelling catheters experienced complications in the bladder, for example UTIs.

In 1983, a better solution was introduced when LoFric was presented.
